From June 21 to 23, 2017, the "National Human Resources and Social Security Information Innovative Application Exhibition (the "Innovative Application Exhibition") hosted by the Information Center of Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security (the "MHRSS") was convened successfully in Hangzhou. This exhibition was the biggest achievement exhibition for information technology development held by MHRSS for years, by which innovative information technology construction achievements made by MHRSS were showcased. More than 1,000 directors and representatives from the Human Resources and Social Security departments all over the country made their presence at this unprecedented meeting. Meanwhile, 2017 social security card construction training course (the "training course") also picked up steam and the midsummer in Hangzhou added a pinch of vitality and joy to it. CEC Huada Electronic Design Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "HED") was also invited to be presented at and help holding the big meeting considering its devoted contribution to the social security card for 18 years. By showing up in Hangzhou once again along with HED chips, HED intended to congratulate MHRSS on its achievements on innovative information technology and lift the veil covered on the blueprint of social security card.

2000: Participated in drafting the standard.
2001: Took the lead to develop chips for social security cards in line with Social Security (Personal) Card
2005: Took the lead to develop social security cards with designated algorithms by China authority through IP core method
2009: Took the lead to launch social security card program under the PKI system
2010: Took the lead to participate in the social security card program integrating PBOC2.0 and social security card specification
2011: Took the lead to participate in establishing the General Specification for Social Security Card with Financial Functions and pioneered to participate in the program of Social Security Card with Financial Functions approved by MHRSS and the People’s Bank of China
2014: Took the lead to participate in the social security card program integrating PBOC3.0 and social security card specification
2016: Took the lead to participate in the third generation social security card research

Achievements of HED chips 

On May 25, 2017, the 1,000,000,000th social security card was issued when Deputy Minister of MHRSS handed it to a female student from Hebei. At present, social security cards are covering more than 72% population of China. More than one function has been integrated into this one card along with more functions being added, signifying brilliant achievements have been gained. HED has also made its contribution in this aspect. At present, we have more than 600 million chips being used in social security cards.

Future for HED chips 

After 18 years, this is the third-generation social security card since the first introduction of it in 1999. So, what advanced technologies does it use and what changes will it make to our lives? HED will present you what it’ll like in the future. 

In the future, by using social security cards, we are able to access to the following services: medical insurance settlement, employment information inquiry, compensation information, mobile payment, functions of Citizen Card; not only this, by resorting to the feature of combination of offline and online, we are also able to access to tele-medicine, online shopping, big data, biological recognition and other functions, which making the social security card a real "people’s wellbeing card" considering of all the benefits provided to people through technology. As for HED, we provide this social security card with chip featured by high safety, high reliability, multiple application and dual-interface.
